We would love to help you find products suitable for use during pregnancy/breastfeeding. Not all ingredients are safe or recommended for use during pregnancy, and we’ve compiled a list of the key ones to make things easy. Each pregnancy is unique, and due to personal hormone changes you may react differently to what you’re used to using.
The following skincare ingredients are best avoided when you’re expecting:
- Retinol and retinoids (Vitamin A)
- Salicylic acid
- Alpha-arbutin
- AHA & BHA Acids (Glycolic Acid)
We of course always recommend consulting your doctor when incorporating any new products whilst you are pregnant if you are unsure.
We list all product ingredients on the product description pages on our website for your ease, so you can cross-reference the ingredients list against a list of ingredients you are wanting to avoid.
In addition, we don't recommend using Beauty Pie supplements during pregnancy. This isn't due to any major safety concerns, but rather regulatory requirements. If you discover you're pregnant and have been taking our supplements, there's no need for alarm. Simply stop using them and consult your healthcare provider.
